Another up and coming learning season for Jalen Collins, as he violates the league’s policy on performance enhancing substances.
Atlanta Falcons defensive back Jalen Collins, again in trouble with the NFL for the use of performance enhancing substances after being punished for the same incident the year before with a four game suspension. Now Jalen will face a ten game suspension, and will not be allowed to practice or participate with the team until after the pre-season. With the Falcons approaching the end of training camp, they have learned that one of the premier cornerbacks has again broken their trust and policy. Head coach Quinn revealed that this was the reason why the majority of Jalen’s reps were with the third string defense.
- Thomas Dimitroff has come out and said, “We are extremely disappointed that for the second straight season we are dealing with a suspension for Jalen”, for the decision of the instant Dimitroff said, “Such are the consequences when certain choices are made. Our decisions going forward will be based on what Dan and I feel is best for the team.”
Without the outstanding performance in the 12 last season, the organization might would’ve released Jalen, but with defending over 636 snaps last year, Jalen had two picks, ten pass breakups and 28 solo tackles, it’s hard to just let good production leave that quick. Jalen also had an exceptional game in the Super Bowl. Jalen will not be allowed to return until Nov. 21.
