Tonight the Atlanta Hawks will be taking on the Detroit Pistons. Atlanta so far has only beaten Dallas and Cleveland, giving them a 2-9 record. Detroit meanwhile, is much improved from their last season and is currently fighting for second place in the East. They have beaten the Warriors, Timberwolves, and the Bucks. Andre Drummond is much improved on his woeful free throw shooting from last season, and his dominant rebounding may prove troublesome for the Hawks. The main thing to watch this game is how the young Hawks players handle this surging Pistons team. Dennis Schroder has had a solid season, scoring about 22 points a game. He is far and away the Hawks best player. Taurean Prince has also improved this season, scoring almost 14 points a game, while being solid on the defensive end. John Collins had also exceeded expectations in his rookie season. He has had limited minutes because of his trouble on the defensive end, as well as the foul trouble that he gets himself into. It will be interesting to see how much time he gets to play opposite of Andre Drummond. The Hawks will need the offense that these three provide, as well as help from the rest of the squad. Detroit boasts an above average defense, and the Hawks are notorious for their poor offense. The game will be at Little Caesars Arena, 7:00 PM EST.
